Playing with fire

14 March 2010 There have been a few crazy weeks. I have the feeling that I have been everywhere, that I have sang non stop, that I wasn’t far from loosing my breath during the moment of preparing the presentation of the songs.
I don’t remember all the details from the last days, I don’t know exactly how everything happened and I am still wondering if this is true. It’s true…” Playing with fire” will represent Romania this year at Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo.

I want to thank all of you, for your vote and support, for being by my side all this time! This success is not just ours, mine and Ovi’s. In the 3 minutes moment that we’ve presented Saturday, a whole team has participated, willing to do everything perfect: Phoenix Cultural Foundation – Norica, Esme, Ionut, Marian, Paul Nanca, the pyrotechnical team Golden Ideas, Inedit Satu Mare team (which takes care of all my stage outfits), the girls from backing vocals – Alexandra Craescu and Oana Puscatu, two excellent voices, used to being on stage ever since Megastar competition, carefully guided by Crina Mardare; Bianca Purcarea whom I met on the podium at the festival “The song of the city Ramnicu Sarat” and which impressed me with her seriousness, professionalism and, why don’t admit, her beauty; Andrada Suliman, a vocalist with experience, professional, with an iron will, a safe voice and with desire to succeed. All four of them have worked every day, with implication and devotement. Thank you very much, girls, you are great, this success is also yours!

Mrs. Gabriela Dutescu was very important during the whole period, for the success of this project, especially because during this whole preparation Ovi and me were extremely solicited and, in spite of our tiredness, she made our voices work perfectly. All my love to you madam, I wish you all the best and I hope you will always be here with us!
I want to congratulate Andrei Tudor, the composer “It’s not too late”, a song that suits me wonderfully. Next to me on stage was Kamara and the wonderful three boys in the backing vocals: Felix Dumitrescu, Marcel Lovin si Anthony Ikwuagwu, wonderful voices, true professional, great personalities, wonderful characters. Good luck on the future, congratulations to Dana Dorian for such students! I hope to meet you again on stage!
I also want to thank Dana Argesan for the make-up, to MAX (the hair stylist)- Marius Costea for all the implication and goodwill.
I was very impressed of the organization offered by the Romanian Television and Adevarul, Marina Almasan and the whole team at Globus Circus, starting with the ones at sound and lights and finishing with the ladies at the dressing rooms that ironed my dress 
I would like to thank to Cristi Serban for all the encouragement, efforts, involvement and support, for the pictures that he took during the whole competition.
Thank you Radu for EVERYTHING!
Thanks to all the “family” of friends that I have here, on www.paulaseling.com, to the ones on facebook and twitter! You are wonderful!
God bless!
