Coming up in May I will be representing Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. I will share this honor with Ovi, a good friend of mine, our song is called "Playing with fire". Ovi was born here in Romania but has lived in Norway for the last 15 years.
The song, written by Ovi, is based on a musical "duel" between two piano players. Ovi and I have both studied classical music in the past so we thought it was an opportunity to apply our piano skills and make a special song based on the concept of a competition both vocally and on the piano. This concept was developed to emphasize the idea of the competitive energy in a relationship and the battle for control envisioned as a "fight for supremacy" between two lovers.
Have you seen the video? I love it. I hope you do, too. The aquarium with the orange fish at the beginning of the video is not camera tricks, it is a huge tank with a lot of fish, but the shooting took place late in the night and many of them were on break so they were not in the frame.
Anyway, in the video, Ovi and I take the fight to a virtual environment where we choose our avatars and fight with each other in computer game fashion. The whole thing was a blast.
