Thank you all for the good wishes and thoughts that you sent through the Romanian forum.
The days of our newest year began passing without notice. Sadness grabs me as I feel the time passing quickly and quietly. It was not long ago I was doing two days full of work in one. Now I wake up and before I know it the sun is setting. The year brings all sorts of hopes and plans for everyone. I hope that good things will happen for all of you and I hope that this year will bring you much happiness and satisfaction.
I know it's hard sometimes to be optimistic when the things are not
happening the way you wish they would but that's life, a surprise here, beautiful things there, and even the challenges, are surprises too.
Almost four years ago I was contacted, through the Phoenix Cultural Foundation, by the Priest Adrian from Metropolitan Church of Oltenia to perform at a concert for childrens with disabilities, who are in the care of the Vasiliada Association.
The project was very complex with a goal of raising funds and a purpose of showing the world that these beautiful, special children have a lot to offer, and that the absence of their voices or hearing grows pale when compared to the beauty of their souls.
The children have a chorus 'of angels', as they say, called ANGHELOS, they are putting in the language of signs, different songs, carols, sacred songs. It is amazing what they can do, and for those who do not understand what this is about, here's an example.
The conclusion is that the people who cannot speak, can still sing and that those without hearing can still feel the music and feel the magic of a moment. Imagination is the way for an ideal world, and who knows, maybe they know how to hear the music of angels.
It has become a tradition and now I try to get involved every year in their projects. I am hopeful that these things matter to the children and I am convinced they are enjoyable for everyone involved.
For those who want to engage, the message inside my soul is that making other people smile and bringing them happiness brings to you much more joy than any other endeavor.
