„Don’t let anybody tell you what to do, that’s a shame
Don’t let anybody show you whatare the rules of your own game...”
I finished the new video! And we’re thrilled! I hope you are too! It’s true, it’s „slightly” different from the others.
The parts that I’m playing are also different from what I’ve done so far, but I’m sure these new states which you can find me in here, you can recapture withing yourselves from time to time.
The idea of the video belongs to a young and talented Serbian director – Rastko Petrovic, who created it before he met me, before he knew what kind of music I sing, only listening to the song – and it’s based on the fact that it is a one shot video and I am shooting some scenes of myself (I even received compliments from the team for this ). The video captures the innocence of the one who is posing to their own camera, knowing nobody sees and hears them, picturing themselves in different states.
Why „Get Up Now!”?
Because it resorts to that part of you who wouldn’t want to depend on anybody, to feel free of any constraint.
Because it was high time I had shown that part of me which has the courage to rise against someone who tries to diminish my personality.
And because the new album comes with a fresh, confident, optimistic attitude, and some experiments, but also with the kind of tunes you’ve gotten used to hearing from me.
We have spenta lot of time shooting because the script, though apparently simple, is hiding some difficult technical parts – the few characters I’m playing appear simultaneously, talking to each other in some frames.
It’s true, it is difficult to be a small record label promoting an album, which had lately become a battle, hence the market is already „seized” by the artists who work with the bigger labels. Still, „Unicorn”, with the help of „Phoenix” Foundation, is promoting live concerts...
And I hope to see you again soon on tour, when we’re promoting the new album.
Other good news: Anita Doth, the vocalist from 2 Unlimited has expressed her wish to make a duet on „If You Want It” – „Noapte Calda”.
